I am writing this letter of reference on behalf of Katie Muck, the person responsible for assisting us in the sale of our family property. I can state on behalf of myself and of my entire family there is no question that Katie went beyond what most realtors would have done to facilitate the sale of the property. She acted not only as our realtor, but also as our representative since we, the Nelson family were on the Atlantic coast, and our property was on the Pacific coast.
In the beginning, our intention was merely to rent the property. In preparing the property for rental, much had to be done to make repairs, update and freshen the property overall. Even for a fabulous house, as ours was, which had been owned by only one family for fifty years, much needed doing to bring it up to standard for rent. Katie was our guiding source for every detail. She found the workmen and women that we needed, stayed on the property as the work was being done, made suggestions, and even assisted in long distance shopping for us by the way of paint selections and cabinet hardware. She did this without any anticipation of a large commission or management fee. She did it because she is a professional. She knew we needed help and she gave it.
Later, when it was decided that the house would be sold instead of rented, Katie made the very sad and painful process of letting go of a beloved home as painless as possible. Imagine having to refurbish a home, the cleaning it out and going through the process of a sale, and never having to set foot on the property to do any of that yourself once the keys were turned over to a realtor. It was like Star Trek’s Captain Luke Picard likes to say, “Make it so”. And she did.
I will say this without exaggeration, without Katie, we could not have accomplished our goals and met our deadlines for rent or sale. She is an amazing lady who knows her craft. She is a “hands on” kind of professional who have names, businesses and references at their fingertips, everything one needs to rent, sell or maintain a property. She sees her job through from the first step to the last in the highest grade of service to her client, in this case, our family. Throughout this process our family came to count on her daily for anything. Truly, I cannot say enough to recommend this lady whom we’ve now come to regard as our friend, which in itself is the highest recommendation of all.
